Research & Development

PharmaHemp is a registered research organisation at Slovenian Current Research Information System (SICRIS) with seven researchers that was established back in 2019.

Over the last decade we have developed a number of different products, from simple oil formulations infused with CBD and other cannabinoids to complex emulsion systems like creams and serums, capsules, water-soluble powders of otherwise lipophilic ingredients such as hemp extracts and many more.

We are constantly assessing the efficacy and safety of hemp-derived products by participation in clinical and research studies. The collaboration with renowned national and international institutions is an on-going process as we are fully aware that there are many potentials of CBD that are still out there to be discovered.

We are constantly assessing the efficacy and safety of hemp-derived products by participation in clinical and research studies.

In collaboration with Jožef Stefan Institute, in particular with Mass Spectrometry Centre, we are developing an analytical method for trace analyses of specific cannabinoids.

National Institute of Biology, Ljubljana, the Department of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics from Faculty of Pharmacy and School of Economics and Business, both from University of Ljubljana are project partners of the research project CANSAFE (see below), which is co-funded by Slovenian Research Agency. PharmaHemp is an industrial partner of this project.

We are also collaborating with the Department of Food Analysis and Nutrition, University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague on non-targeted analyses of unknown cannabinoids that occur in various types of purified and non-purified Cannabis extracts and finished products.
